Jim Ferguson founded Ferguson Construction Company in 1970, a Colorado corporation that has been operated under the same name since its inception. The company has constructed over 600 homes in Colorado, from the Denver Metro area to the mountains. After becoming one of the Denver area's largest production builders, Jim decided it was time to pursue an even closer relationship with clients by focusing solely on custom homes. Jim has now brought his children into the company, instilling in them the importance of building a home to the standards required by putting their name on it.

Ferguson specializes in Design Build projects to meet the needs, lifestyles, and budgets of the clients they serve, while ensuring that the home takes advantage of the site. Jim has worked tirelessly to improve the technology and quality standards of new homes, serving on the Quality Construction Committee since its beginning. This has resulted in a class designed to bring the best construction techniques to the rest of the industry.

Jim has served on the Board of Directors of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver for a number of years, including a term as president. He has also received the "Builder of the Year" award. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for both the Colorado Association of Housing and Building and the National Association of Home Builders, having also been elected a Life Director of the NAHB.

Ferguson Construction Company has built and won awards in the Parade of Homes, the HBA Show Home, and the Passive Solar Tour of Homes. One of Ferguson's homes was also a finalist for a MAME award for Best Custom Home.

Many of Ferguson's clients have come from recommendations of past clients because of the company's unique understanding of the needs of Colorado families. Jim takes pride in working with his customers from the planning stage to the end of construction, even staying in contact long after a home is completed to ensure satisfaction.
